Singapore offers extensive financial support for parents welcoming a newborn citizen child. The package includes direct cash gifts, co-matched savings, healthcare MediSave top-ups, and subsidized preschool care.

Baby Bonus Cash Gift ($11,000 to $13,000+)

For 1st and 2nd children, eligible parents receive $11,000 in cash gifts disbursed across the child's first 18 months. For 3rd and subsequent children, the cash gift increases to $13,000.

Child Development Account (CDA) & First Step Grant

Every Singaporean child automatically receives a $5,000 CDA First Step Grant from the government. Additionally, savings deposited into the CDA by parents are co-matched dollar-for-dollar up to $4,000 (1st child), $7,000 (2nd child), or $9,000 (3rd child).

MediSave Grant for Newborns ($4,000)

A $4,000 MediSave grant is automatically deposited into the child's MediSave account upon birth registration to cover MediShield Life premiums and early childhood vaccinations.
